Our Story
From silence to action.
Muslim Voices for Palestine is a grassroots movement representing the unified voices of the Muslim community in Calgary in support of justice in Palestine.
Muslim Voices for Palestine began in 2023, when a small group of Calgary Muslims refused to stay silent. With feelings of complacency, passive activism, and a desire to help others, they began to think about what the Calgary and Palestine movement needed. They were reminded of their responsibility and call to justice as Muslims, and felt a personal responsibility to do more when others refused.
What started from a handful of neighbours in a single rally has grown into one of the city’s most active movements, resulting in dozens of events, protests, and thousands of participants.
MVP Calgary recognizes the Canadian context in which we operate, and have therefore made a conscious effort to engage with a wide range of cultural organizations, non-Muslim organizations, and in different community settings to educate, inform, and engage the greater Canadian public.
We ultimately believe that with pure intentions and the power of collective action, we can support the freedom of Palestinians from within our own city.

What We Do

Weekly Silent Protest
Every Wednesday, 4:30 – 5:30 PM at Calgary City Hall. A peaceful presence, week after week.
Community Gatherings
Iftars, vigils, and rallies that bring our community together in shared purpose.
Educational Workshops
Sessions on Palestinian history, advocacy strategy, and your rights as an activist.
Humanitarian Support
Fundraising drives and awareness campaigns that direct aid to Gaza through verified partners.
